We are very excited to share that HMBAA is marching in the San Juan Island’s Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade! Come check us out and march along through Friday Harbor and enjoy a 4th on the island!
From the San Juan Island “Visit” site:
This year’s theme for the San Juan Island’s Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade is “America…All That We Share”. Celebrating our community and the common ideals that connect us. While observing America’s independence, the parade will honor OUR island community and the amazing people and organizations that enrich our lives.
The Grand Marshal of the 2017 4th of July parade in Friday Harbor will be Carolyn Haugen. Dr. John Geyman and Emily Reed Geyman will be the 2017 Citizens of Honor.
Friday Harbor’s 4th of July highlights include a small-town parade, a community picnic, live music, dancing and fireworks! The parade passes through downtown Friday Harbor at 10:30 a.m. Immediately following the parade is the ‘Pig War Picnic’ put on by the Kiwanis at the San Juan Historical Museum grounds. Expect live music and a great lunch. In the evening , there will be music at the Port of Friday Harbor, which lasts until the fireworks begin at dusk, at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Hope to see some of you there!
